Chinese Recipe - Braised Seafood and Beancurd in Oyster Sauce

Serves 4


  • 2 pieces soft beancurd (tofu)
  • 120 g shrimp (shelled)
  • 100 g fish fillet (diced)
  • 1/2 onion (diced)
  • 1 stalk spring onion (diced)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 3 Tablespoons XO Sauce


  • 1 Tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch

Sauce Mix:

  • 1/2 Tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 5 Tablespoons Water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch


  1. Marinate shrimp and fish for 15 minutes.
  2. Cut the beancurd into 2 cm cubes, sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt for 5 minutes. Cook in boiling water for 2 minutes, drain and keep warm.
  3. Heat 2 Tablespoons oil, sauté minced garlic and onion till fragrant. Add shrimp, fish and XO sauce, stir fry over high heat until done.
  4. Pour in sauce mix until boil, pour over beancurd and sprinkle with spring onion.
