Chinese Recipe - Abalone Soup with Meat Balls

Ingredients:
A:
- ½ lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp chopped leek
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 egg
B:
- 1 packet vermicelli (50grams or 2 oz), previously soaked in
- warm water
- 4 stalks leeks, cut into small pieces
- 4 slices ginger
- 8 cups broth or water
- 4 canned abalone, sliced
- ¼ lb Chinese cabbage, cut into small sections
- 2 tbsp wine
- 2 tsp salt
Directions:
- Mix A ingredients thoroughly and form into small meat balls about the size of a quarter in diameter.
- Heat broth and add meat balls and other B ingredients, except wine and salt.
- When broth boils, add these. Cook until ingredients become tender, and serve hot.
