Chinese Recipe : Lamb and Assorted Vegetables
Serves 4 to 6
Ingredients:
2 ¼ lbs lamb/mutton, cut into large cubes
7 oz. young ginger, thinly sliced
1 medium-sized carrot, thinly sliced
7 oz. bamboo shoots, thinly sliced
1 ¾ oz. wood ears, soaked
1 ¾ oz Chinese mushrooms, soaked and remove stalks
1 tbsp chopped garlic
4 tbsp oil
1 pc fermented bean curd
1 tbsp soy bean sauce
Seasoning:
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp oyster sauce
3 tbsp Chinese cooking wine (optional)
Directions:
Heat oil in a wok. Fry ginger and garlic till fragrant. Add in the water, fermented beancurd, soy bean sauce and lamb. Stir fry for 5 minutes.
Add mushrooms and 2 cups water. Simmer on low heat until meat is tender.
Add the remaining ingredients and seasoning. Cook for 10 minutes and serve hot. Garnish with blanched snow peas and Chinese celery.
