Chinese Recipe : Tomato and Cucumber Salad

The cooked sauce is poured over the salad while it is still hot.
Serves 4:
Ingredients:
- 4 tomatoes, dipped in hot water, peeled and stemmed
- 1 cucumber, cut into ½ inch slices
Mixture A:
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- A few drops of sesame oil
Directions:
- Cut each tomato into 8 wedges. Trim the cut edges of the cucumber slices, rounding them off to form a smooth surface. Place the cucumber in the center of a serving dish, and surround with the tomatoes.
- Heat Mixture A, cooking until thickened. Add a little sesame oil. Pour the heated sauce over the vegetables.
