Chinese Recipe : Chinese Style Ribs

Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs. pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup rice wine or dry sherry
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions:

  1. Cut ribs into desired serving size portions; set aside.
  2. In a large self-sealing bag combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Add ribs, seal bag and refrigerate overnight (6-24 hours) turning bag occasionally to distribute marinade.
  3. Drain ribs, reserve marinade.
  4. Place ribs in a shallow roasting pan, cover with foil and bake in a 350ºF oven for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Uncover and brush ribs with the reserved marinade. Bake, uncovered for 30 minutes more.
