Chinese Recipe : Sliced Eel with Garlic Hearts

|
Garlic-hearts can be substituted with chives, and eel with sliced chicken
Ingredients:
- 190 g garlic-hearts (sectioned)
- 228 g frozen eel-slices
- 1 small carrot (cut into small strips)
- 2 slices of ginger
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp Shaoxing wine
Seasoning:
- 1/2 tsp salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/2 tsp corn starch
- 2 tsp soy sauce
Thickening:
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp cold water
Directions:
- Mix thawed eel with seasoning. Deep-fry for a little while and set aside.
- Stir-fry garlic-hearts and carrots with cooking oil, salt, and water until cooked; dish up and set aside.
- Sauté ginger and minced garlic; add garlic-hearts, carrots, and eel, mix in thickening, stir-fry with a Shaoxing wine. Ready to serve.
