Chinese Recipe : Beef Meatballs in Pineapple Sauce
|

Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3/4 c. minced celery
- 3/4 c. finely chopped almonds
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. MSG
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. cooking oil
Pineapple sauce:
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. pineapple juice
- 1 green pepper, cut into strips
- 1 c. pineapple chunks
Directions:
- Combine beef, celery, almonds, garlic and salt. Mix well.
- Add crumbs, soy sauce, MSG, and eggs; mix well.
- Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in cornstarch. Heat oil in large skillet and brown meatballs on all sides until thoroughly cooked. Serve with pineapple sauce.
- Combine sauce ingredients and mix well.
